What's in my make-up bag?

My make-up bag is by Charlotte Tilbury and was limited edition but you can get some similar here. It's a lovely medium size that doesn't have shape to it so it can fit in any space in my handbag. The only thing I don't like about this is that it is made from fabric to it picks up dirt and spilled make-up so it isn't easy to clean.

In my make-up bag I have the Urban Decay Naked palette, which i use everyday with the Borjois Colour Edition in shade 03 Petale de glace as my base. Naked from the UD palette through my crease and buck on the outer 3rd.  Recently for my base I've been using Revlon colourstay foundation which has been a staple for me for 3 years as I haven't found anything else I'm a fan of. I have the collection lasting perfection concealer which I really don't get the hype around, I've been using it for years because I haven't found anything else and I find it looks cakey and creases under my eyes. My favorite bronzer is the smooth skin bronzing powder in sunny from NYC, it is a lovely shade for fair to medium skin tones as it's easy to blend into the skin. Ever since I got the Stila convertible colour in Lillium for christmas last year it's all I've been wearing its a lovely natural pink shade, you can read my review of this product here. I use the Rimmell Stay Matte Powder which again I'm not the biggest fan of I find it can begin to look cakey throughout the day. For my eyebrows I use the L'oreal brow artist in 04 Dark Brunette which I love, it's really easy to use as it's a creamy pencil that looks natural. I recently picked up the Maxfactor clump defy mascara which gives the right amount of volume and lots of length to the lashes.

Tip Tuesday

To make your lipstick last as long as possible make sure you are using a lipliner around your lips then apply your lipstick. Make sure you blot your lips with a tissue paper to avoid it smudging on your face and going onto your teeth. Also apply two layers of lipstick to create a stain and then apply a translucent powder over the top to seal it all in place, if you want a matte look.

Winter Essentials

I thought I would share with you some of the winter wardrobe I am thinking about purchasing as it's already cold in the UK. These boots are from H&M and I actually already have these, they are so comfortable. I always have a hard time finding shoes are fit me, I got these in a 5 and they fit perfectly. They also have a lot of grip on the bottom which is what I was looking for as I don't want to be slipping around when the snow and ice comes. A pair of gloves and a scarf are probably as essential for everyone, if you have a smart phone I recommend getting a pair that you are able to use on your phone screen. I am thinking about getting this coat from tesco but I will have to try it on as I find coat picking almost as difficult as finding a perfect fitting pair of jeans. I would love a shawl like this as I hate being too warm so this would make a great layering piece.

What are your winter wardrobe essentials?

Tip Tuesday

If you're struggling to get lift in your hair, try applying some volumising spray to your roots and then blow drying. If you don't want to buy and try loads of different sprays to find one that works for you flip your hair upside down and start blow drying your hair upside down at the roots, when you flip your hair back it will have gained some extra lift.

What else have I posted?
